NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BW HealthWire)--May 1, 2001--Renal Care Group, Inc. (Nasdaq/NM:RCGI - news) today announced results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2001.
For the first quarter ended March 31, 2001, Renal Care Group's revenues increased 21% to $174.8 million compared with revenues of $144.3 million for the same period in 2000, prior to restatement for a pooling-of-interests transaction. Net income rose 18% to $17.7 million from $15.1 million in the same period last year, and earnings per share increased 13% to $0.36 compared with earnings per share of $0.32 in the same quarter of last year. For the quarter ended March 31, 2001, same-store treatment growth was 6.1% and same-store revenue growth was 12.0%.
