Diagnosed with kidney failure following quadruple bypass surgery, Shirley Mitchell knows the importance of following doctors' orders. "I take my medicine, watch my fluid intake and follow a fairly strict diet, plus I get support from the nurses at the dialysis clinic. They're always encouraging me, asking how I'm doing.  One of them even sings to me. It's like visiting family.
